Amanda D.’s story with CFSC I found crossfit through friends. Was looking something besides the traditional gym and BAM the journey began…. What I love about CFSC is the coaching. Since moving from Miami it took me awhile to find coaches that I “meshed” with. The most important thing to me in Crossfit is the coaching. I guess my favorite WOD is anything that contains a deadlifts or back squats. Least favorite would be anything that contains burpees or running lol
Kaitlin’s story with CFSC CFSC is the third box that I’ve been a member of and I couldn’t be more happy that I found it! I love that we have athletes of all skill levels, it makes it easy for a new member of any fitness level to jump right in and feel comfortable. The coaches and other athletes have always been so welcoming and make working out a blast!
Lynn’s story… Since joining CFSC in January, I have become friends with people I workout with on a pretty regular basis. Tracey and J. Whit welcomed me to my first few WODs and encouraged me, which motivated me to keep coming back. Now, I usually work out with Beth and Anne who always help me with my form and encourage me to push myself. I usually do WODs with J. Whit, Chris, and Jake who provide consistent help with my form on various lifts and exercises. I love the support and encouragement members give to each other. About two and half months ago, I decided to try rowing, and I fell in love. I love the discipline, the coordination, the synchronicity, stamina, and commitment rowing requires. Most of all I love the people I’ve gotten to know through rowing. Dustin is the best instructor. He’s perceptive, intuitive, and observant. He sees everything and knows what you need to do to be better. Jess and Katie are awesome role models. I have learned a lot by watching them. All three of them are welcoming, knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging, and a lot of fun.

To those of you who work out in the evening, tomorrow is Manuel's last day! Manuel has been a staple of the gym for a long time, and his infectious energy will be missed. Come on by at 5:30pm tomorrow and wish him luck as he moves back to Europe!
Congratulations to all of you who PR'd your "DT" time this month! In case you didn't know, the benchmark workout "DT" is a CrossFit Hero WOD. It was made in honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.
